LOCATION
Poised amidst the wooded hills of Cloona the house and
grounds are situated three miles from Westport, off the Louisburgh road.
Our unique setting is rural, with the Centre forming an integral part
of a close-knit community. We are surrounded by a myriad of small
roads and byways. These provide guests on their daily walk with wide-ranging
views extending from expansive mountain and beach scenes to intimate native
woodlands. The grounds of more than five acres include an arbour, a labyrinth
and a hill with wondrous panoramic views that stretch from Croagh
Patrick, Ireland’s holy mountain, over Clew Bay to Achill Island, the Nephin
Mountains and beyond.

From Dublin
take the N4 (Changing to N5 at Ballaghadereen). From Westport follow the
Louisburgh road (the R335) for two miles. Turn left at the cemetery (observe
signpost for ‘Cloonagh’) and follow the road for one mile. You
will see the building on the right-hand side. If you require further directions
whilst en-route phone us at 098-25827.
From
Great Britain there are currently daily flights from Birmingham,
Bristol, East Midlands, London (Gatwick, Luton and Stansted),
Manchester and Nottingham to Knock Airport, about 40 miles from
Cloona, a 50-minute taxi-ride. Check www.knockairport.com
for flight details. We will pay your taxi-fare one-way!
"Just a note to say thank you again for
everything last week. It was a special experience. I really feel
better in myself, slowed down and very relaxed. And the added bonus
of course, is the few lbs weight loss. I look forward to going back,
hopefully next year."
